Build Your Own Mini Bowl Metabolic Lab – A Guided Immersive Experiential Nutrition Lab

Love to Share Foundation America organized an informative ‘Build Your Mini Bowl’ event at the West Pearland Library on May 9th, 2026. With over 50 registered participants it was an interactive and fun event ably carried out by the organizers and volunteers. The speakers of the event included Dr. Lekshmi Nair, Dr. Bhargavi Patham and Aishwarya Srinivasan, MS,RD, LD The speakers kicked off the event by explaining various concepts surrounding food, balanced eating and healthy living. From understanding micro and macro nutrients to importance of health screening, the conversation was off to a strong start.

The participants were offered a wide range of vegetarian food options to build their bowl, assisted by the volunteers. The options were mindfully curated taking the concept of a balanced bowl into consideration. From quinoa and millets for complex carbohydrates, paneer and tofu for protein to extremely interesting sauces and condiments for flavor bombs, it was a delicious science experiment!

The primary objective of this event was to inspire the participants to build nutritionally sound meal with individual components that can be easily prepared at one’s own kitchen. The event was a success in motivating people to think creatively about their food options and it was evident from the intelligent and fun questions asked by them!

One can positively say that the participants left with more knowledge around building healthier meals, way more curiosity and a newfound zest for living a sustainable healthy life. Lastly, this event could not have been possible without the immense effort of the volunteers, organizers and the speakers. We look forward to many such socially enriching events in the future.
