My volunteering journey at Love to Share Foundation America - Deepa Hari

Moving to a new country is never easy, but doing so with a 2.5-year-old daughter amplified every challenge. Navigating an unfamiliar landscape, I felt a deep, pressing need to find my village, a community of like-minded parents eager to dive into the beautiful, transformative world of Connection Parenting. It was during this period of seeking that a relative of mine in the U.S. mentioned the Love to Share Foundation America (LTSFA), a discovery that truly changed the trajectory of my parenting journey.

From the moment I joined, I was enveloped in warmth. The incredible mentors at LTSFA namely, Mr. M.K. Ramanujam, Ms. Poornima, Mrs. Lekshmi Nair, Mrs. Nisha Sriram, and Mrs. Kalpana Gopalakrishnan became my guiding lights. They were exceptionally kind, generous with their wisdom, and selfless with their time. With their unwavering support and belief in our vision, our core LTSFA parenting team was able to host multiple impactful parenting workshops, bringing in seasoned experts from the field of Connection Parenting to enrich our community.

Volunteering with LTSFA has given me a platform to serve and a sense of belonging. It transformed my transition into the US from a period of isolation into a journey of profound connection, growth, and shared purpose.

I am infinitely grateful to my mentors and the entire LTSFA family for turning a newcomer’s dream into a thriving, supportive reality for so many families.
