ANSWERS WHY SHE VOLUNTEERS FOR LOVE TO SHARE FOUNDATION
As a volunteer with the Love to Share Foundation America (LTSFA), I have had the privilege of participating in several impactful community initiatives. One of the highlights was organizing a toy drive for The Faison School for Autism, which brought in generous donations from our community and was a wonderful way to support the school’s students. We’re excited to make this an annual tradition!
Additionally, I helped organize a recycling workshop in partnership with Central Virginia Waste Management (CVWMA), aimed at promoting sustainability and environmental awareness among middle school students. The workshop was well-received and even caught the attention of CBS Richmond. This also aligns perfectly with our pillar, “My Earth, My Mother, my responsibility”
Another fulfilling experience was making sandwiches and donating cooked meals to local homeless residents, offering not just food but also a sense of care and support.
I also had the opportunity to witness the power of music and community when children performed folk songs and holiday carols for the residents at Our Lady of Hope Nursing Home—an unforgettable moment of joy.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to help organize volunteering programs with Keep Henrico Beautiful, having children help with weed pulling at a community park, to maintain our local environment.
Volunteering has allowed me to share my passion for teaching, engage with diverse groups, and form meaningful connections that have left a lasting impact on both me and the communities we have served.
