LOVE TO SHARE’S STAR VOLUNTEERS
Malathi Krishnan answers - why do I volunteer?
The Love to Share Foundation is dedicated to empowering and enriching lives through various initiatives, including Life and Soul Health Fairs, the Body, Mind, and Soul Program, Youth Leadership Workshops, and the Promotion of Cultural Arts and Giving Programs. Of these, their Body, Mind, and Soul and Giving initiatives are very close to my heart.
Inspired by the hard work and dedication of the Love to Share team, I joined them as a volunteer about 8 to 10 years ago. I started with their Body, Mind, and Soul program, teaching yoga. Sharing my knowledge for the well-being of others gave me satisfaction and a deeper connection.
I also became part of the Foundation’s “Walk with a Doc,” as it not only helped me physically but also brought the community together and built a sense of camaraderie that I enjoyed.
Finally, my love for animals got me involved in the Foundation’s “Giving Program”. I helped them raise funds annually for the abandoned and abused animals languishing in shelters. This brought awareness into my life and opened up a portion of my heart that I never thought existed. It helped me mature into a person with empathy and compassion for the voiceless creatures of God.
I am indebted to the Love to Share Foundation team for showing me a way to connect with higher consciousness by connecting with people and other living beings.
